Helping to make the dark days of December a little brighter!

On any given day at the Ottawa Bagelshop and Deli we are very pleased to see so many happy, beautiful children and their families enjoying our establishment.  Often times families feel so welcome and safe that you’ll see kids running through the dining room, toddlers practicing how to walk up and down the ramp, and kids of all ages eyeing our giant Jelly Belly display.  We even have self-dubbed ‘bagel babies’ grow up before our very eyes!  We’re so proud of our connection to the community that this year that we wanted to give back to our youngest customers, and the hospital that helps them when they need it.  On Tuesday December 10th, from 4 to 6 pm we’re going to host our very first decorate-your-own-bagel-ornament for CHEO extravaganza!  Kids and their caregivers are welcome to come and enjoy some arts and crafts as well as a little snack and holiday cheer!   Each child will have access to a hard finger bagel or two, ribbon, sparkles, stickers, paint and other decorating supplies as well as a snack of mini-bagels and hot chocolate. With full bellies and great imaginations, we know we’ll see some great bagel art (a very desirable art form, by the way)!  You’re welcome to bring home your ornament, or you can hang it on our big Christmas tree that will be on Corrie’s Patio on December 1st.  We’re asking for a suggested donation of $5 per child, and all proceeds will go to CHEO.  Kids 3-10 years old and their caregivers are welcome to attend, but  please call Liliana at 613-722-8753 or email to register, as space will be limited.Screen Shot 2013-11-21 at 11.36.34 AM
